About

Abbeyfields Vets are a small non-corporate, companion animal practice based in the village of Rocester, near the towns of Uttoxeter, Ashbourne and Cheadle. They mainly deal with small animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. However they do treat alpacas and the occasional exotic pet and backyard chicken.

Consultations are normally fifteen minutes long by appointment only (except for emergencies), and can often be made the same day with the vet of your choice. Abbeyfields Vets consists of a small team of just three veterinary surgeons, three registered qualified veterinary nurses, a receptionist and a trainee veterinary nurse. Some of the facilities and equipment they offer includes a digital X-ray machine, in-house blood testing machine, ultrasound machine, ECG, endoscope and a fully equipped surgical theatre.

This Staffordshire veterinary practise also has a glaucoma tonometry pen, microscope and a doppler blood pressure meter. Free car parking at the rear of the building is available for all clients. They also provide their own out-of-hours 24hr emergency service manned by their own three vets. Abbeyfields Vets are an RCVS accredited practice and registered nurse training practice.
